Livestock deals are high value. A few simple habits keep you safe from fraud.
The golden rule
Always meet in person and inspect the animal before you pay. Never send money in advance — no matter the reason.
Do this
- Meet in a public, well-known place during the day
- Inspect the animal's health and papers yourself
- Deal with CNIC-verified sellers where possible
- Agree the final price only after you meet
- Bring someone with you for high-value deals
Never do this
- Never pay a deposit or 'delivery charge' before meeting
- Never share OTPs, PINs or bank passwords with anyone
- Do not deal with anyone who refuses to meet
- Do not rush — pressure to pay fast is a scam sign
- Do not move the chat to avoid the app's protections
Common scams to watch for
Advance payment
A 'seller' asks for a deposit or delivery fee before you meet, then disappears. Real sellers meet first.
OTP / code request
Anyone asking for a verification code sent to your phone is trying to take over your account. Never share it.
Too good to be true
A rare animal at a very low price, with pressure to pay now, is almost always fake.
